$mbox = imap_open ("{pop.gmx.net:110}INBOX", "kundennummer", "passwort");
So falsch war mein Anfangsverdacht ja doch nicht: Die Dokumentation sagt recht deutlich, dass man mittels /pop angeben muss, dass das pop und nicht das imap-Protokoll verwendet wird. Lies dir die Beispiele und Kommentare einmal durch.
