Genau nach Vorgabe von SelfHTML habe ich folgendes Beispiel geschrieben.
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN">
<html>
Ohne Angabe der DTD-URl schickst du damit den IE immer noch in den Quirks Mode.
