Ich habe noch nichts davon gehört, dass das Problem bereits behoben wäre.
Laut https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/359392 ist für Jaunty ein Fix verfügbar (über Updates).
