Java-Applets im Mozilla 0.9.9
Moin moin,
ich hab mir gerade den neuen Mozilla runtergeladen und bin irgendwie nicht in der Lage das JRE-Plugin zum laufen zu bringen. Applets werden nicht dargestellt und ich krieg nur die Meldung "click here to get the plugin". Das ist ja recht schön, nur dummerweise hab ich das plugin bereits auf meinem Rechner. Ok dann installiere ich halt die JRE nochmal und krieg die Meldung "Installation succesfull". Tja dummerweise tut sich trotzdem nichts. Ein Neustart hat auch nichts gebracht. Wenn jetzt irgendjemand ne Lösung hätte wäre ich ihm doch sehr dankbar.
Laßt mich bitte nicht dumm sterben.

was zu tun ist, steht u.a. in den Release-Notes. Dort steht unter
http://www.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla0.9.9/#install folgendes:If you're using the Installer build and you already have JRE 1.3.0_01 on
your system Mozilla should recognize it. If it doesn't recognize it then
follow the copy instructions for the zip builds.If you're using the win32.zip or talkback.zip builds After the JRE is
installed on your machine, copy NPJava130_01.dll, NPJava130_01a.dll,
NPJava130_01b.dll, NPJava130_01c.dll, and NPOJI610.dll from the install
directory (something like C:\Program Files\JavaSoft\JRE\1.3.0_01\bin) to
your Mozilla plugins directory (something like
C:\Program Files\Mozilla0.9.9\bin\plugins).Gruß

das hatte ich vorher auf der Mozilla FAQ auch schon gelesen. Ich hab aber nur die Dateien rüberkopiert und da hat sich gar nichts getan. Wenn man aber jetzt nochmal das JRE drüberinstalliert, dann funktioniert alles wunderprächtig.
