Hi,

die adresse braucht aber doch keine domain, um das land zu ermitteln, oder?
kannst ja mal mit whois eine beliebige ip-adresse abfragen, da steht jedes
mal ein country-feld dran...

Und das kann auch Werte wie
country:         EU # Country is really world wide
country:         US # Country is really world wide
...

annehmen.

die informationen über das land sind anscheinend beim ripe (o.ä.) registriert.

Kann sein, muss nicht. Und wenn, muss die Angabe auch nicht unbedingt stimmen.
